Past ToursChina 2000-10The Fourth Tour of China saw us play in yet another brand new concert hall - this time in Xi'an. China's love of Western Classical music seems to have no limits. One highlight of this tour was the famous Ice sculpture park in Harbin where life -size famous buildings such as the Forbidden City had been re-created in ice in temperatures approaching minus 30.
India 2009The orchestra's second visit to India was a joint project between Amadeus and the newly formed Symphony Orchestra of India in which we gave two performances of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony at the National Centre for Performing Arts in Bombay.
China 2007-08The Third Tour of China in as many years and perhaps the most successful. Visited eight cities and played in the famous new concert hall in Shanghai. Visited the caves at Datong and the Terracotta Army in Xian.
China 2006-07Following their successful 1st tour, the orchestra were invited to return to China, performing in cities including Anyang, Zibo and Fuzhou Find out more about the 2nd tour of China
China 2005-06The orchestra was invited by the Chinese government to tour China, playing 11 concerts across the country, including Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou
India 2001At the invitation of the British Council in Mumbai, the Amadeus Ensemble visited India for a series of concerts and children's musical workshops |
